College Grads

College graduates have an incredible opportunity to work in a team atmosphere in a variety of client engagements at BHK. These engagements include: assisting with tax compliance and reporting through tax strategy development and return preparation, and providing accounting and financial reporting through audit, review, and compilation services.

Because of our close working relationship with our clients, staff accountants are encouraged to monitor information on the clients' industry, including related publications and web sites, to enable them to relate to the business performance of the client. As professionals, staff accountants have access to continuing education and hands-on training. Staff accountants work directly with seniors, managers, and shareholders.

BHK is located in Bakersfield, California and participates in various recruiting events at Cal State University, Bakersfield. Our central location also allows us to be involved with recruiting efforts at other nearby universities such as Fresno State, Fresno Pacific, and California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Staff Accountant Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or business administration with a concentration in accounting.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Must be eligible to work in United States

Internships

BHK also offers a limited number of tax season internships and occasional summer internships. These internships offer an excellent opportunity for students to get a feel for "real world" accounting.

Internship Qualifications

• Junior or Senior in accounting or taxation at the college/university level
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Must be eligible to work in United States
