Mr. King has over 30 years experience in the accounting profession, and has been a shareholder in the firm since 1985.

His specific areas of expertise include:

  • Financial reporting services for a wide variety of businesses including employee benefit plans. He has overall responsibility for quality control in financial reporting for the firm.
  • General business consulting with emphasis in agriculture and wholesale distribution.
  • Expert witness and litigation support services.

Mr. King graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University Bakersfield (CSUB). He was named CSUB 2001 Alumnus of the Year.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA). He has served on the AICPA Peer Review Board, and as Chairman of the CSCPA Peer Review Committee. He is a past Chairman of the CSCPA Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards Committee, and is a past president of the Bakersfield Chapter.

Mr. King is currently the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CSUB Foundation, serves as the Chairman of the Intercollegiate Athletic Committee, and serves on the Finance, Investment, and Audit Committees. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Garces Memorial High School, serving on the Executive Committee and as Chairman of the Finance Committee. He also serves on the Citizens Advisory Committee of the Assistance League of Bakersfield.

He is a past treasurer and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Bakersfield. He is a past board member of the Bakersfield Community House, and a past President of the Bakersfield Gunners Soccer Club, a youth soccer organization. He was also a Bakersfield City Council appointee to the City Center Expert Citizens Oversight Committee.

Mr. King is past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kern County Employees’ Retirement Association, which is responsible for administering Kern County’s public retirement system.

He has been very active in youth athletic activities as a parent and coach.
